Joe Baker, owner of  JLBaker Consulting, LLC, is a seasoned veteran of the  pharmaceutical industry. His knowledge spans many dosage and delivery forms from solid to liquids and gels, thin films/transdermals to medical  devices. Mr. Baker's experience allows him to help start-up as well as established pharmaceutical companies diversify into new dosage forms.

At MonoSol Rx Mr. Baker led a cross-functional  team to solve a major product defect. He also oversaw construction of  and equipment procurement for their new facility in Indiana to produce  thin film dosage strips with API. Prior to joining MonoSol Mr. Baker was  VP Manufacturing and Global Supply Chain at Alexza Pharmaceuticals, a  start-up medical device company in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he  helped launch their proprietary combination inhalational product. As  General Manager at start-up transdermal manufacturer TheraTech/Watson  Laboratories, he directed the facility expansion and scale-up of  multiple transdermal and gel products for worldwide distribution. Prior  to this role Mr. Baker built a new manufacturing facility for Lohmann  Therapy Systems in West Caldwell, NJ, then transferred technology and  equipment from Andernach, Germany to produce Habitrol for Ciba Geigy.  Early in his career he was employed by Lederle Laboratories (American  Cyanamid) in Pearl River, NY where he learned about multiple dosage forms including solids.
